In today’s article, you’ll read about five songs that Yo Yo Honey Singh himself has labeled as satanic.
In an interview with The Lallantop, Honey Singh shared that when he was at the peak of his career, he prayed to God but found himself drawn more toward satanic forces. He explained that due to an overdose of drugs (which he referred to as “Sookhe Nashe”), he developed a condition known as bipolar disorder.
Honey Singh stated that when he started gaining wealth and fame in 2011-12, instead of thanking God, he began to disrespect and glorify satanic powers. This is reflected in his lyrics, his music, and his music videos.
Here’s the list of those 5 songs –
1. Satan
music produced by Dinesh Railhan. The music video for Satan was directed by David Zennie. In the video, Honey Singh holds a whip and appears to kill other people, giving the entire song a mystical and ominous vibe.
2. This Party Getting Hot
This Party Getting Hot was also released in 2012, featuring Jazzy B alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh. The lyrics were written by Alfaz, with music produced by Yo Yo Honey Singh. The music video was directed by BIG Gifty. In his interview with The Lallantop, Honey Singh referred to this song, saying, “Look at this song, that’s not me, that’s someone else.”
3. Chaar Bottle Vodka
Released in 2014 under the T-Series label, Chaar Bottle Vodka was co-written by Ustad Bhagdarh Ali Khan Sahab and Yo Yo Honey Singh, with music produced by Yo Yo himself. Honey Singh mentioned in his Lallantop interview that he wrote the song while drinking four bottles of vodka.
4. Party All Night
This song was recorded for the movie Boss, which was released in 2013, featuring Yo Yo Honey Singh alongside Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. Like the rest of Honey Singh’s songs, Party All Night carries a “satanic” feel, as described by Honey Singh himself in his interview.
5. Raat Jashan Di
The song Raat Jashan Di was featured in the Punjabi film Zorawar, with Honey Singh contributing his vocals. The song was sung by both Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jasmine Sandlas, with the lyrics co-written by them as well. Yo Yo Honey Singh also produced the music for the track. While the song gives off an energetic vibe, many listeners may not realize that this energy has a satanic undertone, according to Honey Singh.
